Premier’s Innovation Award
COM DEV was named “Company with the Best Innovation” at the Premier’s Innovation Awards in May 2010 for its development of a signal processing algorithm that enables the highly accurate detection of ships from microsatellites.

MOPITT Anniversary
The Canadian instrument MOPITT (Measurement of pollution in the troposphere) celebrated its 10th anniversary of successful operations in March, 2010. Built by COM DEV and launched in late 1999, MOPITT has been continuously scanning the Earth's atmosphere to make long-term measurements of carbon monoxide concentrations. Initially planned for a five-year term, the experiment has been prolonged given the quality of the data collected and the good health of the satellite.

Lifetime Achievement
In March 2010, COM DEV Chief Executive Officer John Keating was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. The awards are granted to businesses or individuals that have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to positive business development, economic growth and diversity within the City of Cambridge, Ontario.
Investor Relations Award
In February 2010, COM DEV won the Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations – Small Cap category, at the IR Magazine Canada Awards. Results were based on an independent survey of the Canadian investment community.
