Members of COM DEV USA’s management team have broad industry experience from positions held previously at major US satellite prime contractors. This experience and insight provides unique appreciation of our customer’s perspective.

CDU’s President, Mr. Dan White, has over 20 years of space hardware experience including 16 years at Hughes and Boeing achieving the position of Deputy Business Unit Leader of Antenna and Microwave Business Unit. He also held the position of Director of Payload Engineering at Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems.

Mr. White’s association with COM DEV spans his entire career in satellite technology. At engineering and management positions at Hughes, Boeing and Lockheed Martin, Mr. White oversaw projects where COM DEV was a critical supplier of payload components and subsystems. The acquisition of the L-3 PMD Group, reunites Mr. White with the team he managed while at Hughes and Boeing.

The relationships and familiarity between members of the COM DEV, PMD and customer organizations has made the acquisition and integration of PMD a smooth transition with little or no negative impact to on-going operations.

COM DEV USA’s team brings together a wealth of experience gained at companies such as Ball Aerospace, COM DEV, COMSAT Labs, Boeing, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and TRW. A guiding principle in setting up the management systems and processes of CDU was to draw from this diverse experience to create a responsive, efficient and customer focused organization.
