COM DEV USA Facilities

COM DEV USA owns and occupies a 46,000 square foot building located at 2333 Utah Ave. in El Segundo, CA. The site was selected because El Segundo has the highest concentration of customers, suppliers and potential employees. A full staff of US persons has been assembled and renovations are complete, enabling a fully functional operation.

The building has undergone extensive redesign specifically tailored to accommodate space passive microwave hardware design and production. Special considerations were given to facilitate the integration of the L-3 PMD operation into the CDU facility. The environmental lab was configured to accommodate PMD’s existing TVAC, thermal, vibration and high power test equipment. Laboratory layouts and passageways were designed for ease of handling large assemblies. Dedicated labs have been constructed for UHF product assembly and test, filter assembly and test, electromechanical switch production and test, high power testing, PIM testing and multipaction testing.
